Disaster risk reduction and recovery expertise
TANGO has provided extensive evaluation services for post-disaster programming in the wake of multiple large-scale natural disasters, including: the Indian Ocean Tsunami (2004-2013), Cyclone Nargis (2008-2014), Cyclone Sidr (2007-2015), Haiti Earthquake (2010-2016), Typhoon Haiyan (2014-2016), Cyclone Winston in Fiji (2016), and the Nepal Earthquake (2015-2018). These programs were mostly multi-sectoral, including WASH, shelter, disaster risk reduction (DRR), child protection, education, health and nutrition, food assistance, livelihoods recovery, and gender components.
